Thirsty? This is your drink! Cold, refreshing and full of flavor. Spiciness of cardamom goes so well with refreshing basil and cucumber. I used black tea and paired it up with maple syrup for sweetness! Add some ice! Delicious and refreshing!
Cardamom Basil Iced Tea with Cucumber
Ingredients
- 4 tea bags black tea or decaf black tea
- 8 cups hot water
- 2 tsp cardamom
- fresh basil
- fresh cucumber slices
- 1 tbsp maple syrup (optional)
- ice
Instructions
- Pour hot water over tea bags and cardamom in the large pitcher.
- Allow to steep for about 15 minutes.
- Remove tea bags.
- Let the tea cool until the room temperature.
- Add maple syrup if you use it.
- Muddle fresh basil and add it to the pitcher with slices of cucumber.
- Refrigerate it for several hours or until it's cold and the flavors all came together.
- Strain the tea and return it to the pitcher.
- When you are ready to serve, fill the glasses with ice and couple slices of cucumber.
- Garnish the glasses with fresh basil.
- Pour the tea to the prepared glasses, serve and enjoy!
