Pour hot water over tea bags and cardamom in the large pitcher.
Allow to steep for about 15 minutes.
Remove tea bags.
Let the tea cool until the room temperature.
Add maple syrup if you use it.
Muddle fresh basil and add it to the pitcher with slices of cucumber.
Refrigerate it for several hours or until it's cold and the flavors all came together.
Strain the tea and return it to the pitcher.
When you are ready to serve, fill the glasses with ice and couple slices of cucumber.
Garnish the glasses with fresh basil.
Pour the tea to the prepared glasses, serve and enjoy!
