I’d like to introduce you to the perfectly crispy baked fries! I tried so many times to make fries in the oven and it was never just right. Either too soft or too dry. And, finally, I discovered the right combination of heat and ingredients that make the perfectly crunchy and delicious fries. The secret is to pre-soak the potatoes in the water and use just the right amount of oil and seasoning.
Simple Perfect Fries
Ingredients
- 4 Yukon Gold potatoes, scrubbed and cut about 1/4 inch wide
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 tbsp sea salt
Instructions
- Place cut potatoes in the large mixing bowl and cover it with the hot water.
- Soak it for about 10 minutes.
- Drain the water and put olive oil in the mixing bowl.
- Toss the potatoes with olive oil.
- Preheat the oven 475F.
- Line a large baking sheet with the parchment paper.
- Place potatoes on the baking sheet.
- Make sure the potatoes are a little distance apart.
- Bake it in the oven for 30 minutes.
- Turning the potatoes half way through cooking time.
- Make sure the potatoes do not over lap.
- Take the fries out of the oven and sprinkle it with sea salt and ground black pepper.
- Serve and enjoy!
