Lemony Black Sesame Sauce Pasta
Ingredients
- 8 oz pasta of your choice
- 3 cups arugula
- 2 cups green peas
- 1 cup black sesame tahini paste
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 2 tsp kosher salt
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of water to boil.
- Add salt and a splash of olive oil to the water.
- Once it boils add pasta and cook it according to the instructions on the package till al dente.
- 2 minutes before the pasta ready add green peas to the water.
- Reserve 1 cup of pasta water.
- Drain pasta and peas and set aside.
- Put 1 cup of black sesame tahini paste to the mixing bowl.
- Add lemon juice, garlic and salt and mix until smooth.
- Add pasta and peas to the large skillet, pour sesame sauce over it and mix in.
- Add a bit of reserved pasta water to the skillet and heat the pasta through for about 3 minutes.
- Taste pasta and adjust the seasoning.
- Mix in arugula right before you serve the pasta.
- Serve and enjoy!
