Lemony Black Sesame Sauce Pasta

Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz pasta of your choice
  • 3 cups arugula
  • 2 cups green peas
  • 1 cup black sesame tahini paste
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 2 tsp kosher salt

Method
 

  1. Bring a large pot of water to boil.
  2. Add salt and a splash of olive oil to the water. 
  3. Once it boils add pasta and cook it according to the instructions on the package till al dente. 
  4. 2 minutes before the pasta ready add green peas to the water. 
  5. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water. 
  6. Drain pasta and peas and set aside.
  7. Put 1 cup of black sesame tahini paste to the mixing bowl. 
  8. Add lemon juice, garlic and salt and mix until smooth.
  9. Add pasta and peas to the large skillet, pour sesame sauce over it and mix in. 
  10. Add a bit of reserved pasta water to the skillet and heat the pasta through for about 3 minutes.
  11. Taste pasta and adjust the seasoning. 
  12. Mix in arugula right before you serve the pasta. 
  13. Serve and enjoy!
