I have a secret to tell you. Traditional tabbouleh is all about parsley and parsley alone. Do not overwhelm your tabbouleh with a lot of bulgur or any other ingredients. Just the right amount of tomato, green onion, a bit of fresh mint and A LOT of parsley.
Traditional Tabbouleh
Ingredients
- 2 bunches fresh parsley, thinly chopped
- 2 tomato, chopped
- 1/4 cup mint, chopped
- 1/4 cup green onion
- 2 tbsp bulgur
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp kosher salt
Instructions
- Add very thinly chopped parsley, tomatoes, mint, green onion and bulgur to the mixing bowl.
- Add lemon juice, olive oil, salt and pepper.
- Mix everything until well incorporated.
- Try and adjust the seasoning.
- Serve and enjoy!
